Hi! I'm Olivia and I coach the KYO Brass section.

Olivia Esther is a sought after educator, performer and advocate for the arts in Canada. As a french horn player, Olivia has performed with many of Canada's finest orchestras (Canadian Opera Company, National Ballet Orchestra, Winnipeg Symphony), music festivals (Festival of the Sound, Toronto Jazz Festival, Kensington Market Jazz Festival) and with internationally acclaimed artists such as Adele, Barbra Streisand, Herbie Hancock, David Amram, Rufus Wainwright, Emilie-Claire Barlow, Boy George, David Bryne, Supertramp's Roger Hodgson, Il Divo, The Tenors, Andrea Bocelli, Lang Lang, Michael Buble, Jann Arden and Holly Cole. You can always catch Olivia in the theatre pit in Toronto played Anastasia, The King & I, A Gentleman's Guide to love and Murder (Mirvish) and Les Miserables (Upper Canada Chorus), Sousatzka (LivEnt), The Secret Garden, Nine (Podium Concerts), and Beauty and the Beast (Angelwalk Theatre). She has recorded for film, CBC, CTV, Naxos and many independent Canadian labels. Minha Alma, Meu Coração is Olivia's debut vocal/ instrumental music project. She will be featured this year on The Beat Series docu-series produced by MDC Studios showcasing Portuguese-Canadian artists being aired this Fall. Olivia explores the music of her Portuguese-sephardic heritage merging contemporary songwriting with traditional styles such as the Fado.
